What is Gonorrhea

    An STD, Sexually transmitted disease, are infectious diseases that spread from one individual person to another through intimate contact. STD's affect both genders, males and females. STD's affect anyone who is having unprotected sex. STD's spread usually amongst; Sexual activity at a young age, an individual being who has lots of sex partners, and anyone person who is having unprotected sex.
    Gonorrhea is the second most common sexually transmitted diseases out there while Chlamydia is the leading STD out there. The infection is spread by contact with the mouth, vagina, penis, or anus. This bacteria grows in warm, moist areas of the body; especially in the urethra (the tube that transports urine throughtout the body). However in women this bacteria is likely to grow in the reproductive tract (this includes the fallopian tubes, uterus, as well as the cervix). The bacteria has even been founded in the eyes. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),700,000 people a year get infected with gonorrhea.
